Reserving a Mediation Date
Please call Patrick McCarthy at (925) 460-6000 or send an e-mail to patrick@mccarthymediator.com to schedule a mediation. Mr. McCarthy is available to answer any of your questions about mediation or arbitration.
Fees
Mr. McCarthy will set aside a minimum of four hours plus any necessary preparation time. The total anticipated fees are due at the time of scheduling. Payment may be made by credit card, if desired. Fees are fully refundable until 10 days prior to the scheduled mediation.
Mediation Briefs
Mediation briefs should be provided at least three days prior to the proceeding. The parties may submit briefs on a confidential basis at their discretion, but should clearly indicate if a brief is submitted confidentially.
Attendance at the Mediation
Anyone whose authority is necessary to approve a settlement should attend the mediation, including the parties, their counsel, and insurance company representatives. If it is impractical for the insurance company representatives to attend in person, telephone standby may be requested.
Location
We offer an elegant, professional setting for mediations at our office in Pleasanton, conveniently located near the junction of routes 580 and 680. Click here for a map. Mr. McCarthy is willing to travel within the greater Bay Area at no charge and will hold mediations at a location convenient to all parties. Mr. McCarthy travels throughout the United States for mediations by reasonable pre-arrangement.
